In 2024 after an extensive period of consultation and research, six of our council members came together to form Goulburn Murray Solar Savers, a local government initiative for residents and business of council partners. 

The program offers a fully vetted provider and installer of solar PV, battery systems, hot water heat pumps and
efficient reverse cycle heating and cooling systems, with nine further providers, including local business, offering induction cooktops, EV chargers, insulation, draft proofing and home energy assessments being added from July 2025. This new panel of fully vetted providers and products applied via a thorough tender process, and have been selected by a panel of experts under full probity conditions. The Goulburn Murray Solar Savers program therefore is able to offer residents and business an unparalleled range of competitively priced quality products by highly experienced, first-rate companies.
