The GBGA’s Watts Working Better street light upgrade took out the 2015 Victorian Premier’s Sustainability Award in the built environment category.

The prestigious awards attracted a record number of entries from all over Victoria and recognised the best of the best in the area of sustainability.

The Watts Working Better project saw more than 13,600 street lights upgraded to energy efficient alternatives and will reduce carbon emissions by 106,700 tonnes over the next 20 years and save partner Councils millions of dollars in the cost of electricity and maintenance.
